GREEN TRAVEL - POWERED BY NATURE, CARING FOR THE PLANET
Green travel with Fjord Line between Stavanger and Danmark.
Fjord Line is proud that the sister ships MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord are the first and largest cruise ships in the world that sail solely on eco-friendly natural gas. This innovative technology brings with it significant environmental benefits.
The exhaust fumes from the on-board LNG engines are entirely free of sulphur and soot and so do not emit any visible smoke. Carbon emissions are 20-25% lower than from diesel engines, and emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) are reduced as much as 92%.
Green travel with train from all over Europe.
Combine green travel with scenic routs when taking the train from almost anywhere in Europe! Trains leave directly from Oslo to Stavanger. Views from the train are one of the best things you can enjoy from your seat. Sit back and enjoy beautiful landscapes as well as some peaceful moments of reflection. With table seats, which seat four people around them, you have a great chance to start a conversation, make new travel companions, and practise your language skills.
In 2026, it is also planned that the ferry from Newcastle to Stavanger will reopen.
